The Trias partners in Ghana are eight rural banks, a local NGO (Northfin), which supports seven more rural banks, three member based organisations and a local NGO (ACDEP), giving support to farmers groups. These member based organisations are: the Guinea Fowl Farmers Association (GUIFFA), the Bolgatanga Basket Weavers Cooperative Club (BBWCC) and the Onion Farmers Association in Bawku West and Garu Tempane District.
All rural banks are spread over the three northern regions of the country. Rural banks are small banks that belong to the community. They are usually to be found in rural areas and provide microfinance services, thus supporting agricultural and income activities of people in rural areas.
