Trias aims to have a sustainable positive impact on the livelihood of micro-entrepreneurs and family farmers in the project regions, and aims to increase their active participation in local economic development.
To reach this general goal, Trias has worked out five strategic objectives. The first three refer to operations in the South, the fourth to North-South operations, and the fifth to the operational quality of the organization itself.
1. The target group gains access to adequate, proper and high-quality services (microfinancing, business management services and market facilitation).
2. The target group is better organized in democratic and independent organizations, enabling a more substantial role in the social and economic realities.
3. The target group is better imbedded in and can influence social and economic developments, resulting in enhanced institutional clout to defend its own strategic interests.
4. Solidarity and mutual respect between movements in the North and South increases.
5. Trias is result-oriented in working towards its mission and objectives.
