Development is all about people. People who want to promote change. People who work together and organize themselves to make the difference. For a better local economy, against failing government decisions, for the improvement of their living conditions. That’s why Trias supports movements and organizations of farmers and entrepreneurs on the local, national and international level.
Trias wants to promote and consolidate locally rooted groups and member organizations through sustainable organization strengthening and institutional development. In this way local economic development will be stimulated from the grassroots.
The strengthening of the organization refers to the intern structure of the partner organization: decision making and strategy, planning, monitoring and evaluation, human resource management, financial management.
This strengthening process aims to improve the sustainability of the member organizations, to optimize the democratic participation and to better the services for the stakeholders. The more efficient the organization, the more impact it will have on local development processes.
Trias also wants to stimulate partner organizations in participating in local development processes together with other actors. Their different approach on development of each of the actors will improve the local economic development and benefit the conditions for entrepreneurship. This is the aspect of the institutional development.
